Sun Valley-MRF

The state-of-the-art C&D recycling system has extensive processing equipment including trommels, conveyors, picking platforms, magnets, air classifier, and water flotation tanks for separation of heavy and light weight materials. Recyclable materials are extracted through both manual and mechanized systems and the facility tracks total tons processed, recovered for recycling, and disposed as residue. Recycling rates are tracked using these facility tonnage records and provided to the City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Sanitation, which has a certification system for further verifying recycling rates.

We’re always striving to improve our diversion rates (the amount of trash we keep from going to the landfill) in an effort to do our part in the pursuit of the ultimate goal: ZERO WASTE

We collect and distribute all of the materials that come out of our MRF for use in manufacturing, composting and in some cases, to fuel our power plants at Madera Power or Dinuba Energy.
